Children experience being conscious of their body and mind, of others and of the environment.
our children activities take place in 2.5 acres of private garden and forest. Children get immersed in a nature setting that creates wonder, generates curiosity and provides healthy challenges.
'Time in nature is not leisure time; it’s an essential investment in our children’s health.'
— Richard Louv, author from Last Child in the Woods
Children need time in nature. As D. Sobel points out in his book Wild Play: Parenting Adventures in the Great Outdoors, there is a rampant “nature deficit” in today’s children. Kids just aren’t playing outside enough. Yet children need nature, and play-time in natural places, like they need sleep and healthy food. Studies show outdoor time helps children grow lean and strong, enhances imagination and attention span, decreases aggression, and boosts classroom performance. In addition, children who spend time in nature regularly are shown to become better stewards of the environment.
