“The long-term benefits of tinkering time are remarkable. In many ways, tinkering resembles inquiry-based learning, cooperative learning, and project-based learning, all of which have been proven to have long-term positive effects on student achievement and success.” Katy Scott, Education Technology Specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California.

We believe in the power of creativity and collaboration. At Terragon's Tinkering Club kids will be able to dream, design, and build projects in collaboration with others, while having a lot of fun!
In the process they will experiment with materials and age-appropriate tools, explore what works and what does not work, and co-create new things. Tinkering provides an opportunity to develop executive function which is the ability to plan, focus attention, remember, and juggle multiple tasks. Tinkering activities help children develop problem-solving skills and build peer-relationships (source).
And as always at Terragon, there will always be time for lots of free play in nature!
Every 6 weeks we will present to parents the project that kids have accomplished.
Wewelcome kids enrolled in school of all ages.
Transport available to and from Amsterdam International Community School (AICS near WTC) and De Nieuwe Internationale School (DENISE near Museumplein) If there are enough kids at another location, we can offer pick up too!
